Door access controls, backup codes and PMS sync
This Portal release adds new ways to manage smart lock access: issue codes and keycards straight from a door, keep backup codes ready for offline locks, see Portal door codes on Cloudbeds reservations, and sync rooms from Cloudbeds and Mews faster.
1. Issue door codes and keycards directly from a door
A new Credentials tab in door details lets staff create one-time, random or custom codes and keycards for a specific lock, without setting up a full user profile. Add labels, validity periods and optional user assignment, then search, filter and securely reveal codes.

2. Backup door codes for offline smart locks
Supported doors now keep a stock of backup codes, so guests still get in when a new code can't reach the lock. Codes restock automatically, you're warned when they run low, and you can request, reveal, copy or revoke them anytime.

3. Portal door codes on Cloudbeds reservations
Door codes now appear as door-lock keys on Cloudbeds reservations, showing guest, room, validity, code and status. They update automatically when anything changes in Portal, and the existing Portal Doorcode field stays, so your email templates keep working.

4. Faster, self-serve room syncing for Cloudbeds and Mews
Cloudbeds picks up new rooms with their first booking, and Mews syncs added or renamed rooms in near real time. Owners and General Managers can also refresh rooms anytime with Sync spaces under Apps, and existing door mappings are kept wherever possible.
